So, today Kaela received her new glasses. She really thinks she's something. She loves the idea of having glasses, but putting them together with the patch...she's not so fond of. Her left eye is considered a lazy eye...she has amblyopia. A doctor in town came to the school for vision testing, and the nurse called the next day to inform me that she needed to be seen right away. She will now undergo vision therapy to make the left eye have to work. The right eye is seeing 20/20, so we have to cover that eye for a few hours a night...to force the left to work harder.

That patch brings back memories of when we went through that with the twins. They were two I think and thought yuck too! Cute glasses! Susan
