What a fun Easter! Our friends, the Sullivans, invited us to come out to Lubbock to celebrate Easter with their family. The kids had Good Friday off at school, so Matt took a half day, and we headed out on our 6 ish hour drive around 1:30 in the afternoon. We arrived at their home Friday evening...and stayed up visiting into the early morning hours. Saturday, we went to lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Abuelos, then the dads took the kids to the park while Jen and I did a little shopping. We fixed a really great dinner that evening, let the kids search for eggs, and then finished the evening with a game of Phase 10! Easter morning we went to a nice service at their church, and then our family grabbed a delicious Whataburger meal as we hit the road, heading back to New Braunfels. The kids did great on the trip until about 2 hours out of San Antonio. We stopped at a lookout area to stretch and let the kids get rid of a little energy, and then stopped once more in San Antonio to have one of our favorite meals at The Cheesecake Factory! Yummm!
